MY GREEN CHURCH IS:
Inclusive
Work is developed according to the needs and wishes of the parishioners. Meeting people and taking their individual situations into consideration is important. Green Church has an active conversation culture. People and entities representing different points of view meet each other and their thoughts and find solutions together. Green Church is also active in social debate. Green Church is a strong expert and participant in religious dialogue and dialogue on other convictions.
Equal
Green Church defends the idea of equality unequivocally. Equality is realized both among and between both employees and parishioners. No discrimination is accepted. Everybody has an equal right to church office. Work communities have a good atmosphere. The Green Church of our dreams marries also same sex couples. In the Green Church human dignity is an inalienable basic value. Church is hospitable and open to new people coming from different countries and backgrounds. Minority groups, such as the disabled, are included as active actors.
Resource wise
Church acquires and uses different resources (natural resources, raw materials, energy, products and services, premises and time) in a deliberate way that promotes well-being and sustainable development. Activity is responsible in relation to people and the environment. Green Church acts according to the principles of sustainable development and is economically stable. Green Church takes care of the environment and works against climate change. It encourages people to hike, move in nature and slowing down and builds structures that promote this.
Open
In Green Church decision making is transparent. Decision making follows the general principles of democracy and atmosphere is open and conversational. Interest groups of the decision makers should be public. Women are encouraged and selected for leading positions. In the parish elections lists of candidates must have clear platforms so that voters know what the candidates really stand for. Church turns from Established Church to the Church of the People and it adheres to good governance.
Eternal and youthful
Green Church is up to date and works where people are. It is actively informing about its activities and develops new ways to interact with parishioners. Green Churh is interesting, encouraging and compassionate. New members are happily received.
